We are looking for an experienced full-time bookkeeper for our Small Business Department. This person must be dynamic and engaging. Candidate must have experienced knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop and online), and Sage software. We offer a competitive salary (dependent upon qualifications) including benefits.
This is a multi-business full cycle accounting position where your primary duties will include:
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills
- Invoice and customer payment processing
- Bank reconciliation
- Credit card reconciliation
- GST and PST returns
- Project tracking to ensure deadlines are met using in-house systems
- Preparation of Period Reports (monthly, quarterly)
- Preparation of T4s and Personal Income Tax Returns
The job is in our head office however you may be required to travel to a client’s location on occasion or head-office, therefore you must have access to a vehicle. Candidate must be able to think outside the box and see the overall picture, numerical, highly organized, have excellent communication skills as well as be a team player. Please note that some overtime is required during our busy tax season.
Please be advised that we are not looking for lettered individuals or individuals working through the CPA Preparatory Courses.
Preference will be given to someone with minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience or post-secondary education in a relevant field. Candidate will be expected to become a certified bookkeeper with IPBC in the future.
