Headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a fully operational satellite office in Steinbach, Manitoba, our team is constantly growing and is currently comprised of approximately 40 professionals, each fully committed to helping our clients and fellow team members successfully reach their objectives.

With our relaxed, family oriented office environment comes flexibility and familiarity in our student support. On the job training is provided by more senior team members and by the office as a whole. Our relatively simple office structure ensures that the entire office interacts daily, guaranteeing that senior management notes each team members performance.

Client Base

Our clients consist of professionals, businesses and not for profit organizations located throughout Southern Manitoba. Our client base covers nearly every organizational structure and industry sector. This diversity enables us to provide our students with a broad spectrum of practical experience to complement their professional studies.

Student Experience & Support

Students are assigned a mentor, but are encouraged to seek answers from any member of our team as required. Students are also supported with assistance on issues they are facing in their course of studies. Additional support offered for students includes payment of all annual student dues, module fees, Densmore CFE prep fees and common final examination fees. In addition, time off is provided for studying prior to and during examinations.

Manager of Special Projects

Are you looking to be more involved with your clients?  If so, we have a terrific opportunity for you!  We have an opening for a Manager of Special Projects and we are looking for a outgoing, dynamic, confident individual to join our diverse ONBusiness team.

This position is responsible for carrying out special projects as defined and determined by the Shareholders and will include working on client assignments within each of the Divisions of ONBusiness. The Special Projects Manager is expected to perform duties with a high degree of independence, initiative and judgment. You must possess strong communication skills as you will be required to meet and present results to clients, without Shareholder inclusion.

This position reports directly to the Shareholders.  Special projects based on the needs of the various shareholders and divisions will include but not be limited to:

Accountable For:

  • Assistance in the Tax Services Division, including tax planning and research;
  • Specific duties & assignments as required by Business Advisory Division;
  • Preparation of business valuation plans;
  • Preparation of cash flow projections;
  • Personal financial planning projects;
  • Perform financial and system analysis;
  • Conduct research on different strategic initiatives;

Candidate Profile

Candidate must be a CPA with 8 to 10 years in a senior role in public practice.

Senior Financial Services Advisor

We are currently seeking an experienced accountant for our Financial Services Division in our Winnipeg office.

Reporting directly to the Managers of the Financial Services Division, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the highest level of service to our clients on all assignments. These assignments will consist of more complex preparation and completion of work of the Financial Services Division, including:

  • Preparation of more complex review and notice to reader working paper files
  • Planning and lead a team on conducting external financial statement audits
  • Perform financial and systems analysis
  • Preparation of complex corporate, personal and trust income tax returns

Depending on work assignments available, the successful candidate will be tasked with other work as necessary, mentoring and training students and other advisors in the department.


Interested candidates should be highly motivated and possess great attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills. You must have an advanced skill level in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, as well experience with CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is preferred (or similar tax software).

Senior Tax Advisor

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Tax Division and ultimately to the Co-Owner and Tax Principal, you are a key member of our tax team. You will be responsible for providing the highest level of service to our clients on all assignments.

· Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, foundation, and personal tax filings along with various information returns

· Prepare supporting working papers

· Liaise directly with clients and the Canada Revenue Agency on tax engagements

Small Business Advisor

Assist and take ownership of client accounting, personal tax, and ONBusiness administrative tasks that arise during the year as directed by the Small Business Support Manager; monthly accounting duties for clients; T1 preparation (entering of slips).

Accountable For:

Accounting tasks and assignments (client work) as directed by the Small Business Support Manager including,

  • Entering expenses into Accounting Software;
  • Organizing receipts;
  • Recording bank transactions (debits & credits);
  • Analyzing credit card statements for entry into Accounting Software;
  • Performing bank reconciliations;
  • Performing duties at client premises, as directed (i.e., preparing PST and GST returns, matching packing slips, preparing cheques for signature, etc.);
  • T1 preparation (entering of slips);
  • Assist the Financial Services department with entering bank transactions, general ledgers, etc. into Accounting Software for year-end purposes (as needed and coordinated through Small Business Support Manager);
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients, employees, contract employees, shareholders, and all other stakeholders;
  • Meeting client & ONBusiness deadlines;
  • Strict confidentiality of client affairs;
  • Reporting when client files are ready to be reviewed to the Small Business Support Manager;
  • Reporting issues and concerns to the Small Business Support Manager on a timely basis regarding 1) accounting & administrative issues and 2) the ONBusiness concept;
  • Supporting and promoting the ONBusiness name and concept.


  • CPB Certified Bookkeeper (or equivalent experience with some formal training in any of these programs) having hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting and personal tax preparation;
  • Solid knowledge of, and skills in, personal tax (intermediate level);
  • Solid knowledge of, and skills in, accounting & bookkeeping (advanced level);
